Rednecks

I must admit that I am impressed by this feat. This looks like a number of accidents waiting to happen. I wonder if the truck will be found at the bottom of the launch ramp some day.

Saturday Groceries

While thinking about what to make for dinner on Saturday, Derek was inspired by Iron Chef. The main ingredient....sausage! Appetizers were sausage stuffed mushrooms, and the main course was sausage stuffed duck. Yes....I said duck!! The best place to get all our ingredients for dinner was the Westside Market in Cleveland, Ohio. Go there with a plan!! Otherwise, you will get lost and have no idea where to go or what to do!!

Heart Walk

Derek and Angie will be participating in the Indianapolis Heart Walk in September with Team Dylan Blake. Our nephew, Dylan, had Tetralogy of Fallot at birth and required surgery to correct it. While he will be fine, there are many others that face similar problems.

What Does This Button Do?

When there are only 2 floors, one hopes that every trip is non-stop. Why this one needs a special button is beyond me.

Happy Birthday to Us!

Andy & I celebrated our birthday at his condo. Andy was very excited to see all his family and friends. Happy Birthday womb mate!

Andy & I posing with his cake. Thanks Jennifer for making such a great cake! (P.S. Mine was a cheesecake).

Andy opening some of his gifts.

Dylan giving me one of my gifts to open.

By the way......where's Dylan's belly button? There it is!!

About Time!

After having our brand new Saturn for almost 2 months, we finally were able to get our license plate. Of course, we are an IU family....so only an IU plate would do =)

Back To School

I have been busy this week organizing and putting things together in my room at school. I don't have a full size classroom, but I have a decent size room for me to work with my speech kiddos. Here are just a couple of pictures of it. It may not look like much, but it is the best work space I have ever had =)

Long Island Fish Bowl

Wing Warehouse has a $4 special on Long Island iced tea fishbowls. As you can see, Angie is a big fan.

Darius Rucker and Rascal Flatts

Here is Caroline's favorite song, "It Won't Be Like This For Long". Sorry for the poor audio quality. The down side of sitting so close to the stage is that the speakers are deafening.

Rascal Flatts is a big supporter of Make A Wish. They visit the children at Vanderbilt every year.

Gratuitous butt shot for the ladies:

Pro Football Hall of Fame

Yesterday, we went to the Pro Football Hall of Fame for a pre-enshrinement buffet. Big crowds and lots of media everywhere!

The father of Derrick Thomas (2009 inductee) was a B-52 pilot. As we were heading up I-77, we saw the planes departing CAK for the flyover.

Cletus T. Judd and Darius Rucker

We went to the Rascal Flatts concert last night. Opening acts were Cletus T. Judd and Darius Rucker.

Here we are at the Bud Light Lounge before the show started.

Stay tuned for music/video uploads. We were fairly close to the stage (and speakers) so we need to adjust the audio so you'll recognize the songs. Darius Rucker played a lot of his old Hootie stuff and even came back for the encore with Rascal Flatts.

The Melting Pot

We enjoyed a delicious dinner at The Melting Pot last night. Cheese fondue, salad, lots of different meats and vegetables to cook up, chocolate fondue and drinks. We were absolutely stuffed when we were finished! I think we were even the last people to leave the restaurant!!
