Happy Birthday, Caroline!

Just think... all those years ago, you never imagined you'd spend your days in jail. You've come a long way!

Rock and Roll

Yesterday was the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. To celebrate, admission is free all day so we decided to check it out.

Where Everybody Knows Your Name

For those of you not on Facebook, I visited with Shannon and Drew in Boston on my birthday. We stopped by Cheers (Bull & Finch).

The Ballentines Visit Ohio (Ohio Reformatory)

We also visited the historic Ohio Reformatory.

Unfortunately, only Caroline's camera has a picture of Rusty outside of this old prison where Shawshank Redemption was filmed. There is also a functioning maximum security prison behind the historic prison. We went down an unmarked road where we saw a part of the prison that most people do not get to see. After a rapid response by Mansfield PD and a brief detention, we were free to go.

Thanks to Caroline, Rusty and Lorelai for making the trip!

The Ballentines Visit Ohio (Richland Carrousel Park)

On Sunday, we took Lorelai to Richland Carrousel Park, the first new carrousel built since the 1930s. It was built in 1991 in downtown Mansfield, Ohio.

Magee Tornado

We interrupt the Ballentines Visit Ohio miniseries to bring you this late breaking news.

Lorene Cahill and Loree Clark were seen in the area of the Magee tornado damage. They appear to be traveling under the aliases Lucky Kayhill and Lorie Clark.

The Ballentines Visit Ohio (Akron Zoo)

Lorelai visited the Akron Zoo on Saturday and got to see all kinds of animals and even feed one of the goats (although this was quite a feat). The best part was the Jellyfish Exhibit.
