Cavs beat the Suns last night. Shaq was in attendance this time as were the throwback uniforms.

Fabulous Food Show (Part 1)

Yesterday, we went to the Fabulous Food Show in Cleveland.

San German, PR

On Thursday, we drove to San German, Puerto Rico. This little town in the southwest corner of the island is known for its historic town center and varied architecture. In just one block, you can see missionary, Spanish colonial, art deco and Victorian.

Driving Across Puerto Rico

On Thursday, we rented a car and drove across Puerto Rico (from Rio Grande to San German). The interior of the island is mountainous and green year round.









Ponce, the second largest city in Puerto Rico:



This truck could be heard from half a mile away. Those are speakers mounted in the back and they go all the way around the sides and front.

El Yunque

On Wednesday, we went into the El Yunque rainforest on an ATV.

On Tuesday, we went to Old San Juan. We started the day at the old fort. It was built by the Spanish and is now a National Park Service operated museum.

Bienvenidos al Puerto Rico!

We arrived in Puerto Rico on Sunday. The resort is beautiful and we are looking forward to a fun week exploring the island!

Bar Symon

Saturday night, we tried out Michael Symon's new bar in Avon Lake (Ohio). The food was good (soft polenta makes another appearance!) but he has set the bar very high with Lola, Lolita and Roast and this new restaurant did not quite measure up. Most notably, Bar Symon fails to be a bar first (which, if you're familiar with Lolita, is quite a surprise) and focuses on the food first. Unfortunately, the restaurant is (and feels) empty on a Saturday night while bw-3 (in the parking lot) is packed.

This Is It

We went to see This Is It on Saturday. If you like Michael Jackson's music at all or are interested in the choreography and production side of the music industry, I would highly recommend it. We are really hoping that the 3D Thriller mini-movie will be included on the DVD/BluRay release.
